Head into the unknown on this awesome desert adventure.

Day 1: Cape Town to Cederberg Area
From cosmopolitan Cape Town - with the iconic Table Mountain towering over the city - we start our journey with an insightful local township tour to gain insight and learn various cultural aspects and have the opportunity to sample some authentic traditional dishes. After the intriguing township tour, we head north through the fruit-growing areas of the Western Cape to our camp for the night. Overlooking the Cederberg Mountains and some vineyards this is a perfect setting to possibly try some locally produced wine.
Day 2: Cederberg Region to Gariep Orange River, Namibia
Continuing north, the terrain becomes more arid and rocky, however during spring there is an abundance of wild flowers bringing colour to the landscape. Our camp for the night is located on the banks of the Gariep Orange River which serves as a border between South Africa Noordoewer and Namibia Vioolsdrift. Here we have the opportunity to relax on the riverbank for sun-downers and enjoy the clear starry sky of the Richtersveld - a truly spectacular sight.
Day 3: Gariep Orange River to Fish River Canyon
This morning we have the opportunity to enjoy a canoe safari on the Orange River, or to relax on the rivers edge before making our way to the vast Fish River Canyon. At over 150km long and up to 500m deep it is one of Africas largest canyons and our tour leader will be able to make sure that you hit the best spots for great photos.
Day 4: Fish River Canyon to Sesriem Area
Departing early morning, we drive through picturesque and arid landscapes to the vast Namib Naukluft National Park. Home to the worlds oldest desert and some of the highest dunes in the world, the Namib Naukluft National Park is larger than Switzerland and the second largest game park in Africa.
Day 5: Sesriem area to Solitaire Area
Entering the park this morning, our first stop is Dune 45, where we attempt climbing to the top just before sunrise, to take in the rising sun warming the landscape and changing the colours of the surrounding desert. After a hearty breakfast, we take a shuttle into Dead Vlei and enjoy a guided walk in this eerie desert landscape.Leaving via the Sesriem Canyon, we continue via Namibias smallest town Solitaire to our camp for the evening - located in a tranquil setting.
Day 6: Solitaire Area to Swakopmund
This morning we cross the Tropic of Capricorn - pausing for a great photo opportunity - before heading to the cool of the South Atlantic ocean and the interesting resort town of Swakopmund. The town has a quirky feel with fantastic cafes and interesting Germanic architecture. It is also an adventure mecca with a wide variety of activities on offer.
Day 7: Swakopmund
Today we have the day at leisure to take part in the many optional activities or just enjoy the sights this seaside town has to offer. The team at our hostel will help make any of the necessary arrangements to ensure that we get the most out of our time here.
Day 8: Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe
Heading back inland and northwards, our journey takes us to the bizarre rock formations at Spitzkoppe. Our community-run camp at the foot of these majestic rock formations makes for the perfect spot to explore the surrounding area.
Day 9: Spitzkoppe to Etosha National Park
Heading further north and east, we make our way to Etosha National Park. Dominated by a vast central salt pan as well as various much smaller water holes, the park provides an ideal environment for animals to survive in this harsh landscape. Our camp for the evening is based near a floodlit waterhole - allowing us the opportunity to watch the animals come in and drink after the hours of darkness.
Day 10: Etosha National Park
We have a full day of game driving around this amazing park. With more than 100 animal and 300 bird species in the park, we are sure to be rewarded with some excellent sightings.
Day 11: Etosha National Park to Windhoek
Our final day takes us south towards Windhoek - Namibias capital city - where we arrive late in the afternoon and or tour ends. With a strong Germanic influence in the city, you might wish to dine at one of the many German style restaurants tonight.
