Bukhara Uzbekistan

Bukhara is one of the oldest cities of Central Asia. Bukhara was historically one of the great trading cities along the Silk Road. The city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region of Bukhara was for a long period a part of the Persian Empire. Kalyan minaret, one the wonders of Bukhara, was designated to summon Muslims to prayer five times a day, and the Khoja-Gaukushon is one of the largest ensembles of the city and includes mosque, minaret and madrasah.
